Triple Play Analysis Triple Play converged IP-based networks carry data, voice and video over a single pipe, in real time, with conflicting demands on quality and performance. Many test tools look at a single aspect of Triple Play, eg video or VoIP quality, without considering the effect of one application on another. Agilent's Triple Play Analyser is an important breakthrough as a single analyser that makes it easy to see the total effect on the network of all three applications at once and then drill down into troubleshooting data, video and voice.
Data Acquisition
The 6900A Triple Play Analyzer (TPA) is extremely flexible in application. TPA can operate in software-only mode acquiring data from the PC's own network card, or TPA can acquire data from local or remote Distributed Network Analyzer (DNA) hardware. The J6801B DNA or J6803B DNA PRO hardware provide high performance, real-time full line rate data capture and analysis from a wide variety of LAN and WAN interfaces.

Triple Play Dashboard The Triple Play Dashboard screen provides a top level view of the network including Vital Stats for total Data, Video and Voice traffic and an instantaneous visual indicator of the ditribution of total traffic between different protocols and types of service. This simple view gives an instant visual representation of how the network is being used and how different applications are performing and interacting.
