Overview
The 10/100/1000/10G Distributed Filter Tap is a uniquely flexible traffic capture tool that features 4 XFP ports, 16 UTP ports and 8 SFP ports. Each of the ports can be configured as either an "input port" (to capture network traffic) or as an "output port" (to provide a monitor tool with a copy of captured traffic). In addition to complete I/O configurability, this device allows output traffic to be filtered on layers 2-4. Filters can be configured based on where the traffic is input, where the traffic is output, or on complex filter mappings. Specific deployment options include :

This Distributed Filter Tap can be remotely managed via command line interface (serial console, Telnet/SSH), graphical user interface (HTTP/HTTPS) or SNMP (v3.0). Administrative security features include Radius authentication, and device access level control. A number of traffic metrics are also available, including for bandwidth, errors, fragments, packet type and others.

A combination of port flexibility, selective aggregation, deep packet filtering and significant management capability make this traffic capture device an exceptionally versatile, value-adding solution for any 10G network or monitoring application
