Overview
VSS Monitoring network taps and switches are used worldwide by security conscious network professionals for the connection of monitoring devices such as IPS, IDS, network analysers and network forensics. There is a comprehensive range of fibre and copper taps for a wide range of applications in addition to conventional 1:1 tapping. This includes tapping a single network port into multiple analyser ports, aggregation of multiple network ports into a single analyser port with aggregator taps, active response and injection with injector taps, and buffered converter taps for media and speed conversion.

All VSS Monitoring devices share an exceptionally high build quality, excellent ease-of-use, whether under local or remote control, and innovative features to protect the monitored network. Central device access to distributed remote taps and switches
As leaders in innovation VSS monitoring's products include the world's first distributed Network Taps and Tap Switches enabling users worldwide to remotely monitor and centrally manage large infrastructures of Network Taps from a single analyzer or console. The scalability and ROI potential these solutions offer in leveraging analyzer deployments is unprecedented. Using VSS monitoring's Distributed Taps as many as 144 Duplex networks can be monitored from a single analyzer across both copper and fiber media at speeds ranging from E1 through 10 Gigabit.

Control of these solutions is enabled via the serial and Ethernet ports while management interfaces include the serial and telnet consoles, web browsers and any SNMP manager. No proprietary software is required. The distributed solutions occur across VSS monitoring's line of Aggregation Taps, Copper & Fiber Tap switches (otherwise known as Analyzer Switches and Matrix Switches), Intelligent Injection Taps and Multi Port Aggregators.
