The 10/100/1000 1x2 Aggregation Filter Tap allows the failsafe pass through of duplex data over standard UTP Cat 5 cable. Employing 64MB of memory, this aggregation tap enables both sides of the duplex link to be monitored on a single interface.
This tap's ‘Link Safe' feature enables link failures to be observed by network elements both sides of the tap, thereby enabling routers and switches to execute redundancy whenever such failures occur. This Tap guarantees the preservation of original packet order during aggregation.
Filtering allows traffic to be distinguished according to source and destination address as well as by specific protocols, such as HTTP, VoIP, etc. The filter option also enables screening of the monitoring traffic to ensure zero packet loss during aggregation of heavily loaded networks. Management interfaces include Telnet, SNMP and HTTP web interfaces. |

The Gigabit 1x2 Fiber Filter Tap is available with conversion (SM to MM and MM to SM) functionality, and allows the fail-safe pass through of full duplex data over standard fibre cable (available in SX, LX, ZX). Preservation of packet order during aggregation is guaranteed and the 2 aggregated fibre outputs are available in gigabit multimode, singlemode or in combination with one singlemode and one multimode output. The multimode version functions with LED or laser based devices. 64MB of internal memory provides buffering for high traffic bursts. Various split ratios are available to meet custom specific user applications.
